Haritha Kerala Mission has completed the Mapathon works in Idukki Adimali Gram Panchayat. The work was completed in four days by the team comprising RPs and internship trainees from the state and district missions. Mapping works of more than 150 watercourses have been completed. Unpredictable weather slowed down the mapping work but managed to complete the work on time. Mapping work has been completed in about thirty local bodies of Idukki district. The work in the remaining local bodies is progressing. The Mapathon aims at comprehensive watershed-based projects that bring all watersheds, large and small, into the mapping network. The work of digital mapping of watersheds across the state is in final stages.
