Land Revenue Minister K. Rajan said that the planting of one crore saplings in the state under the leadership of Haritha Keralam Mission is a proud achievement. The minister was speaking at the Thrissur Town Hall while announcing the planting of one crore saplings through the campaign. Since educational institutions were also included in the campaign, students were able to become guardians of the culture of protecting our country. The minister said that the planting a tree campaign was also able to send a message that we should all be vigilant for nature restoration and tree plantation.

The minister congratulated the local self-government institutions, Harithakarmsena, MGNREGS workers, Kudumbashree, people's representatives, National Savings Scheme Department, Social Forestry, various departments and agencies who played a leading role in the campaign. The minister also said that the system for taking care of the planted saplings was remarkable. Block Panchayat President Associations District Secretary K.R. Ravi presided over the function and Haritha Keralam Mission Asst. Coordinator Haripriya Devi presented the report.
